How Material Choice Influences Manufacturing

Deciding what material to use is driven mainly by the application. However, it is wise to consider the manufacturing process it will drive. When choosing between glass and a polymer, one is also often choosing between glass wafer processing and injection molding.  Use this table [1] to get a quick snapshot of the critical differences between glass wafer processing and injection molding to best understand how material choice influences manufacturing.
