Personnel Changes in Business Development

Alexios Tzannis, PhD will be leaving his position as Business Development Manager Life Sciences during the 3rd quarter 2021. Groundbreaking is the best way to describe Alexios’ contribution to IMTs position in the Life Sciences market. From early development of our internal capabilities, technological scouting and finding solutions to the complex problems of our customers – Alexios has contributed significantly to IMT’s position as the “go-to company” for these solutions as well as to the success of our partners and customers. We thank Alexios for a very fruitful co-operation and wish him all the best in his future endeavours!

New Business Development Manager Life Sciences

Tobias Bauert, PhD will be taking over this responsibility during the 3rd Quarter 2021. Tobias has been with IMT since 2014 and has since 2018 built up and headed the R&D group at IMT dedicated to our Life Sciences activities. The ease-in of Tobias into his new role will take place in close alignment with Alexios Tzannis. With a PhD in Material Science Tobias is a long-time member of the glass, photonics and Life Sciences community. He was project lead in introducing several new enabling technologies. His experience and his fact-driven approach makes Tobias excellently suited to take on the demanding task as IMTs Business Development Manager in Life Sciences and Diagnostics.

New Group Leader R&D for Life Sciences and Diagnostics

Lukas Greuter, PhD will be heading the R&D Group at IMT dedicated to Life Sciences and Diagnostic from Q3-2021. With an MSc in Nanoscience, a PhD in Experimental Physics and extensive experience with thin films, nanotechnology and photonics, Lukas has been a member of the Group that he will now be heading since 2018.
